Our Journey

1923 - The Beginning

Established under the Indian Immigrant Labour Ordinance No. 01 of 1923, initially as the Department of Indian Immigrant Labour.

1931 - Evolution

Transformed into the General Department of Labour, expanding services to both migrant and indigenous workers.

2010 - Modern Era

Established as the Department of Manpower and Employment, focusing on human resource development and employment promotion.
